I started off woodworking in the construction industry doing finish carpentry, but the 2008 housing crash happened and scared me away. I went into the medical field knowing it was a safe option. I was in the medical field for 15 years, and despite becoming very knowledgeable and respected in the field, I never found joy in my work.
I needed to make a change in my career. I wanted to end the work day feeling accomplished and good about what I’d done that day. I wanted to be a better husband and father to my kids.
I was going through the options with my wife and trying to find a way to work for myself doing something I enjoy. After researching several options and one business venture falling through at the last second, we decided that now was a good time to go back to my roots with woodworking.
It’s what I love to do.
I am now fulfilling a dream of mine and loving every second.
